We follow Santa Fe Public Schools' (SFPS) snow decisions. If they announce a 2-hour delay, Monte del Sol buses will run two hours later than normal and classes will begin at 10:45 a.m. If SFPS classes are cancelled due to snow, our classes will also be cancelled. Please note that occasionally a delay is changed to a full-day closing due to dangerous road conditions. If it snows overnight but you see no mention of Santa Fe Public School delays on local TV stations, buses and schools will follow their normal schedules. Remember, snowfalls vary widely throughout Santa Fe County. We put a message on 982-5225 as soon as we can. You can also call SFPS Transportation at 467-3500 to confirm snow information.

Early Release Information
1. If you pick up your child, please come into the office to sign out.
2. If you are picking up someone else's child you must get permission from that parent and sign out that child.
3. Please note that school buses will pick up Monte del Sol students after all other public school students have been taken home. Therefore, if SFPS announce an early release at midday school buses may not pick up at Monte until 1:00 p.m. or later. To find out if your child's bus is on the way home please call SFPS Transportation directly at 467-3500. During a snowstorm, students waiting for parents or school buses will be in the Gathering Space with staff (not out front).
4. Parents of Juniors and Seniors: The Permission to Leave Campus form you signed at Registration allows (or does not allow) students to drive or be driven in a car by another student. If you don't want your child to be in a car driven by another student in icy road conditions please discuss that with your child well before a snow event.
Mentorships on Snow Days
Please contact your Mentor directly to find out if Mentorship is happening that day. Mentorships which use our campus will be cancelled if snow conditions cause the school to be closed or released early.
It is vital that you and your child keep a copy of the mentor's phone number handy. Please also make sure that your mentor has your home or cell number. The Mentorship Office on campus will be closed on snow days.
Community College Classes on Snow Days
Students who also take classes at Santa Fe Community College are responsible for checking directly with SFCC 505-428-1000 ext. 1.
