Reporting your Child Absent
To report your child absent, tardy, or leaving early call 982-5225 and press 3. Hearing a parent's voice on the attendance line confirms that your child is legitimately absent. Assistant Head Learner, Anne Salzmann, listens to the messages mid morning. We do not require notes the following day, and notes from siblings are not acceptable as excuses. Your child will be considered an Unexcused absence or tardy unless we receive a message on ext. 3, preferably by 10:00 a.m. on the day of absence.
Please ALSO use the absence line to let us know if you will be picking up your child early for an appointment. If your child is a Junior or Senior (under age 18) with a car, please use ext. 3 to confirm their appointment. These procedures are a primary component of our ditching prevention. For students who leave early for regular off-campus mentorships, field trips or athletics, you do not need to call each time.
